Diesel Mechanic Programs

Diesel mechanics typically service buses, trucks and diesel automobiles. They can also service farm equipment, cranes, tractors and combines. Some boats are also powered by diesel fuel and require diesel mechanics trained to work on boat engines. There is enough of a difference between gasoline- and diesel-fueled engines to make a difference in the way they are maintained. Much of diesel maintenance is preventative, important to keep the machine working and free of wear and tear. Diesel mechanics use computers to run diagnostic checks and find problems in diesel engines, which can then be fixed.
